Description

Travellers visits Assam to reach Majuli, the first Island District of India which is also held by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “World’s Largest River Island”. It is a cultural hub and the centreplace of Neo-Vaishnavite in Assam. The “Satras” (institutions of worship and culture) are held in high esteem by the people of Assam. This trip also combines a wildlife safari in the Kaziranga National Park in Assam bringing in the unique experience of visiting both the famous “island” and the “wildlife” which is the home of the two-third population of world’s rhinoceros.

Itinerary

Day 1: Jorhat (ASSAM)

  • Arrive Jorhat airport and drive to hotel.
  • Check-in to hotel. Overnight stay in Jorhat.

Day 2 Jorhat-Nimatighat-Majuli (ASSAM)

  • After breakfast drive to Nimatighat (18 kms to ferry ghat) and then take a public ferry to reach Majuli (approx 1 ½ hrs on ferry).
  • On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight in Majuli.

Day 3 Majuli (ASSAM)

  • After breakfast visit the Sattras (know more) in and around Majuli. After breakfast visit the Sattras (know more) in and around Majuli.
  • Overnight in Majuli.us. Facilisi.

Day 4 Majuli – Kaziranga (ASSAM)

  • After breakfast check out and take the return ferry to Nimatighat. After breakfast check out and take the return ferry to Nimatighat.
  • Later transfer to Kaziranga (100 Kms / 2 hrs drives).
  • Reach Kaziranga and check into hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.(know more)

Day 5 Kaziranga (ASSAM)

  • Early morning go for Elephant ride @ 5:00 am.Early morning go for Elephant ride @ 5:00 am.
  • Return for Breakfast to hotel and after breakfast proceed for Jeep safari in the  Central Range. With Kohora as the entry point, the Central Range covers the Daglang and Foliomari area.
  • Enjoy Local Village & Tea Garden (Outer View) tour.
  • Overnight at Kaziranga.

Day 6: Kaziranga – Jorhat Airport drop (ASSAM)

  • After breakfast check out and drop to Jorhat airport.
